Peter Tessier: Jets Home Opener- Turkey hangover? Jets had their turkey in Dallas but is there another thanksgiving hangover coming?

Lets hope Laine laid off the Fortnite last night, and he shows up tonight, so the Jets don't get kicked like they did on Saturday

I thought the guys overcame the initial pressure & settled in nicely, but the officiating in the 1st period was terrible! However, as tough as it may be, consistently good teams learn to overcome that.

The difference this year is that opposing teams fully understand the Jets' strengths and weaknesses; teams are well-prepared, no surprises anymore. Mo needs to show his coaching skills and his ability to adjust the game-plan and make timely in-game adjustments (not sure that's possible though). Hopefully, this will help us in the long-run with consistency and in the playoffs.

The PK is ugly and has really struggled for awhile now, the coaching has done nothing to address this (including during the playoffs). We offer a shooting gallery and expect our guys to just stand there & block shots from 10-feet away (no puck pressure & injuries waiting to happen).

Yes, its early in the season, but 4-point division games are huge! The Central will be tight, so it doesn't matter if it's game 2 or game 80.

Ehlers on the 4th line was ridiculous, this looks to be changed for tonight... finally. Hopefully, Kulikov will replace Morrow as well.

Hopefully, the boys will continue their home ice domination and it will be all positive tomorrow!

It time the Jets play Roslovic between Ehlers and Laine as there is no chemistry playing Little at that center spot. Also no more dumb penalties. I know Maurice likes to match lines but when they play Lowrys line more than Scheifeles line it takes away from the Jets offense. Make teams adjust their lines to the Jets as not many teams can match up with the Jets 4 lines.

I fully agree, we all know it's going to happen, so why wait?

The jets finished 2nd in the nhl last year, if teams didn’t catch on to them being good by last Christmas and plan accordingly they still won’t now. I don’t buy into the whole we won’t fool anyone this year.

Yup. Little is a 3C in this league. 100% Ras deserves it more.

We get to see our franchise leading scorer play tonight! I’m so excited, tbh, I love Kovy. He’s one of the f*cking ludicrous number of jerseys on my walls

100% agree Ross. We will be fine.

Jets have been a little slow out of the gate. Same as last years poor start. Once they get rolling we will be fine. Same goes for PK.....and we just need to avoid the major injuries.

So when there is a lack of chemistry between Little and Laine, it has to be Little's fault ??

The worse player is usually at fault. Little struggled to mesh with anyone through the entirety of last season

Yes, but we’re worse now, is the problem. The PDO is catching up to us now, too.

I guess it can’t be the fault of the lazier player.

So much for saying nothing but positive things for the first 10 games. You can't even be right about your own let alone anything Jets.

My own what?

Oh, by the way, Myers just biffed it hard on that Kovy goal

Perceived lazier player: does fine with everyone but Little and Tanev

Little: struggles with everyone but Perreault

Your own self.

Kovy's goal was Scheif fault for not picking up his man from the blueline in.

Myers was drifting into the middle all by his onesie, for no apparent reason. Scheifele should’ve come back a bit quicker, but that doesn’t change Myers not being on his man

Your blind, Scheifs man all the way. Once Schief was beat Myers could only try to stop the pass ...maybe could have done that part a bit better by going down. Either way its extremely tough to stop those type of perfectly executed plays. Jets have played very well defensively. TLC line is awesome tonight.

Myers was literally covering no one and nothing. Scheifele came back to take Myers man.

The giraffe is desperately trying to lose, it seems

This should be an interesting experience. I’m curious to see the effect not hearing your own thoughts will have on your psyche

Tanev was awesome tonight. As much as I hate him, I also kinda love him, and I think Dano does too, so guess I’ll deal with it.
